N&rsquo;ayant pu le faire jusqu&rsquo;ici, c&rsquo;\u00e9tait un de mes objectifs prioritaires  cette ann\u00e9e, et l&rsquo;objectif est atteint ! C&rsquo;est la deuxi\u00e8me case que je coche \u00e0 mon programme annuel apr\u00e8s <a href=\"https:\/\/voilierkribi.fr\/index.php\/2024\/09\/01\/premiere-nuit-a-bord\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"2070\">la nuit \u00e0 bord<\/a>, et je n&rsquo;en suis pas peu fier. Retour sur cette premi\u00e8re incartade de Kribi dans le monde de la comp\u00e9tition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"La_preparation\"><\/span>La pr\u00e9paration<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>J&rsquo;ai assist\u00e9 en d\u00e9but d&rsquo;ann\u00e9e \u00e0 une session de <a href=\"https:\/\/voilierkribi.fr\/index.php\/2024\/02\/10\/initiation-theorique-a-la-regate\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"1976\">formation th\u00e9orique \u00e0 la r\u00e9gate<\/a>. Cela m&rsquo;a mis le pied \u00e0 l&rsquo;\u00e9trier et j&rsquo;ai ensuite fl\u00e2n\u00e9 sur le net pour mieux comprendre les pavillons utilis\u00e9s et les r\u00e8gles de course, peine perdue pour le moment \ud83d\ude05. Car si la voile rec\u00e8le une quantit\u00e9 de vocabulaire ph\u00e9nom\u00e9nale (qui certes fait partie de son charme), la voile de comp\u00e9tition est \u00e0 un tout autre niveau ! Moi non plus !<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>J&rsquo;ai donc opt\u00e9 pour du pragmatisme, je pars avec mon maigre bagage et on verra bien.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>J&rsquo;ai aussi fait l&rsquo;acquisition d&rsquo;un spi d&rsquo;occasion (article \u00e0 venir) mais avec mon immobilisation de 3 mois suite \u00e0 ma <a href=\"https:\/\/voilierkribi.fr\/index.php\/2024\/07\/07\/infortune-de-terre\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"2040\">fracture de la cheville<\/a>, je n&rsquo;ai pas eu le temps de compl\u00e9ter son gr\u00e9ement ni d&rsquo;apprendre son maniement. Il s&rsquo;agit d&rsquo;une r\u00e9gate de ligue r\u00e9gionale, niveau 5C, Osiris habitable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>J&rsquo;aurais bien aim\u00e9 faire quelques entra\u00eenements pour m&rsquo;aguerrir mais le temps m&rsquo;a manqu\u00e9, et c&rsquo;est donc en \u00ab\u00a0bleu\u00a0\u00bb total que j&rsquo;ai abord\u00e9 l&rsquo;\u00e9preuve.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Dans_les_starting-blocks\"><\/span>Dans les starting-blocks <span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Mon fr\u00e8re Eric qui devait \u00eatre mon \u00e9quipier a malheureusement eu un contretemps et c&rsquo;est donc seul que j&rsquo;arrive \u00e0 Plobsheim le 13 octobre \u00e0 9h.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Il r\u00e8gne d\u00e9j\u00e0 une certaine effervescence \u00e0 la base nautique. En effet, les <em>instructions de course<\/em> n&rsquo;ont pas \u00e9t\u00e9 publi\u00e9es sur le site Internet du club et je n&rsquo;ai aucune id\u00e9e du d\u00e9roulement de l&rsquo;\u00e9preuve ni du parcours .<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pas de chance, les pontons sont tous pleins, impossible de m&rsquo;amarrer. Ils m&rsquo;apprennent qu&rsquo;ils ont r\u00e9cup\u00e9r\u00e9 les <em>instructions de course<\/em> \u00e0 terre. C&rsquo;est ballot, j&rsquo;aurais bien aim\u00e9 en faire autant ! De nombreux bateaux sont pr\u00e9sents et nous \u00e9voluons tous dans un espace reserr\u00e9. Le vent s&rsquo;est lev\u00e9 et les bateaux se croisent voire se fr\u00f4lent \u00e0 vitesse \u00e9lev\u00e9e, c&rsquo;est impressionnant et grisant mais \u00e7a me demande une attention soutenue car je n&rsquo;ai pas du tout envie de   causer un abordage. D&rsquo;autant qu&rsquo;en dehors de la r\u00e8gle de priorit\u00e9 du tribord amure, je ne sais pas trop qui est cens\u00e9 se pousser en cas de risque de collision.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Premiere_manche\"><\/span>Premi\u00e8re manche<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Je sens que le d\u00e9part est imminent. Je n&rsquo;ai pas non plus de VHF ce qui m&rsquo;aurait \u00e9t\u00e9 fort utile pour avoir les instructions par radio. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Je suis loin de la ligne de d\u00e9part quand la corne de brume r\u00e9sonne \u00e0 nouveau et que la meute s&rsquo;\u00e9lance. Je m&rsquo;engage \u00e0 sa poursuite. Je comprends que la premiere bou\u00e9e (invisible \u00e0 cette distance) est bout au vent et qu&rsquo;il faut tirer des bords au pr\u00e8s pour la rallier. Je r\u00e9alise vite que je suis beaucoup plus lent que la moyenne. 5 minutes apr\u00e8s le d\u00e9part, la flotte est d\u00e9j\u00e0 compl\u00e8tement \u00e9parpill\u00e9e et les premiers au loin ont deux bords d&rsquo;avance sur moi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Je suis le dernier d&rsquo;un trio de bateaux qui ferme la marche ; je ne le sais pas encore mais ce trio de queue va perdurer au fil des manches. Autant dire que l&rsquo;\u00e9cart dej\u00e0 cons\u00e9quent avec les bateaux qui nous pr\u00e9c\u00e9dent devient vertigineux. Apr\u00e8s la deuxi\u00e8me bou\u00e9e, je parviens je ne sais trop comment \u00e0 revenir \u00e0 la hauteur du Dehler. Las ! Benjamin me crie que j&rsquo;ai oubli\u00e9 une bou\u00e9e. Il a raison et je suis contraint de revenir sur mes pas en croisant le challenger, d&rsquo;enrouler la 3e bou\u00e9e avant de repartir vers la 4e. Le dernier bord \u00e0 nouveau vent arri\u00e8re est un supplice. Toute la flotte a franchi depuis un bon moment la ligne d&rsquo;arriv\u00e9e quand j&rsquo;arrive \u00e0 mon tour. J&rsquo;essaie tant bien que mal de souffler, d&rsquo;avaler quelques biscuits et de boire un peu d&rsquo;eau tout en zigzaguant entre les concurrents. Il faut encha\u00eener virements de bord et empannages pour rester \u00e0 proximit\u00e9 des bateaux du comit\u00e9 de course.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mon second d\u00e9part est aussi rat\u00e9 que le premier mais je ne commets pas de grosse bourde sur le parcours cette fois. Je suis au coude \u00e0 coude avec Micro chat, c&rsquo;est le match des losers ! Les autres bateaux sont loin devant, on a bien compris l&rsquo;un et l&rsquo;autre que nos bateaux peuvent difficilement rivaliser avec eux au pr\u00e8s. Au portant, c&rsquo;est bien pire car l&rsquo;absence de spi nous handicape terriblement. Seul, les manoeuvres sont exigeantes et je dois faire preuve d&rsquo;une grande vigilance car il n&rsquo;y a personne d&rsquo;autre \u00e0 bord pour m&rsquo;avertir en cas de danger. En plus, l&rsquo;\u00e9coute de g\u00e9nois se coince r\u00e9guli\u00e8rement dans les taquets du m\u00e2t m&rsquo;obligeant \u00e0 abandonner la barre pour aller la d\u00e9gager. Un des taquets coinceur du g\u00e9nois l\u00e2che aussi r\u00e9guli\u00e8rement, choquant la voile d&rsquo;un seul coup, ce qui me fait perdre de la vitesse et je dois redoubler d&rsquo;effort pour reborder la voile.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Je suis rinc\u00e9 apres ces deux manches d&rsquo;autant que le vent est quand m\u00eame costaud.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Persuad\u00e9 que la course est finie, je mets le cap sur mon corps mort : une dizaine de minutes apr\u00e8s, je r\u00e9alise que la flotte est rest\u00e9e mass\u00e9e pres de la ligne de d\u00e9part, la course n&rsquo;est pas termin\u00e9e !<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dur, dur de se remotiver. Je suis lucide sur ma performance mais j&rsquo;esp\u00e8re quand m\u00eame \u00e9chapper \u00e0 la derni\u00e8re place. Plusieurs concurrents et membres du comit\u00e9 de course me f\u00e9licitent d&rsquo;avoir fait la course seul car de l&rsquo;avis g\u00e9n\u00e9ral, elle a demand\u00e9 un effort physique intense, m\u00eame \u00e0 plusieurs par bateau.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Les resultats tombent : sur les 19 participants, il y a 13 places de classement car 6 bateaux \u00ab\u00a0exp\u00e9rimentaux\u00a0\u00bb ont un classement bis. Nous sommes ainsi 3 bateaux ex-aequo \u00e0 occuper la 13e et derni\u00e8re place. Sur les 4 courses disput\u00e9es, on garde les 3 meilleures pour chaque participant et on totalise les points correspondant \u00e0 la position. Le but est d&rsquo;avoir le score le plus faible. Je suis arriv\u00e9 respectivement 12e dans la premi\u00e8re manche, puis 12e \u00e0 nouveau, 11e enfin puis DNF. J&rsquo;ai donc 12+12+11=35 pts. <em>Micro chat<\/em> a 37 pts et je le bats en principe mais nous sommes declar\u00e9s ex-aequo car il s&rsquo;agit probablement d&rsquo;un bateau sans certificat de jauge ou ayant subi des transformations incompatibles avec la jauge.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Conclusion\"><\/span>Conclusion<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>La course aura dur\u00e9 pr\u00e8s de 5h l\u00e0 o\u00f9 j&rsquo;imaginais qu&rsquo;en deux heures ce serait pli\u00e9. Apparemment c&rsquo;est toujours comme cela.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Elle aura \u00e9t\u00e9 tr\u00e8s riche en enseignements. Parmi les principaux :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>L&rsquo;Edel 660 n&rsquo;est pas un foudre de guerre<\/strong>, c&rsquo;est le moins qu&rsquo;on puisse dire. Je le savais, il n&rsquo;a pas \u00e9t\u00e9 con\u00e7u pour cela et il faut lui rendre justice, son skipper n&rsquo;est pas non plus un fin tacticien ni un barreur \u00e9m\u00e9rite. N\u00e9anmoins il est apparu clairement qu&rsquo;\u00e0 aucun moment, ses performances n&rsquo;ont \u00e9t\u00e9 de nature \u00e0 rivaliser avec celles du reste de la flotte, hormis le micro challenger.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Les petits d\u00e9fauts du bateau tol\u00e9rables au quotidien en voile loisirs se r\u00e9v\u00e8lent extr\u00eamement p\u00e9nalisants en comp\u00e9tition. Je pense au taquet coinceur du genois qui l\u00e2che r\u00e9guli\u00e8rement. Un bloqueur de barre aurait aussi \u00e9t\u00e9 tr\u00e8s appr\u00e9ciable pour ne pas perdre le cap quand je devais bondir decrocher une \u00e9coute coinc\u00e9e. Il faudra que je me penche sur ces probl\u00e8mes. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Il me faut absolument apprendre le gr\u00e9ement et le r\u00e9glage du spi. C&rsquo;est le moyen le plus simple d&rsquo;augmenter mes chances d&rsquo;obtenir un meilleur classement. M\u00eame ainsi, Kribi ne pourra toujours pas rivaliser en vitesse pure avec des bateaux beaucoup plus l\u00e9gers mais je pourrais tirer plus facilement parti de leurs erreurs et des differences de rating.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Et bien s\u00fbr, il me faudrait un \u00e9quipier. 5h, c&rsquo;est long et \u00e9prouvant. Etre 2 \u00e9quipiers permet de se relayer, de decider ensemble de la tactique, les manoeuvres sont facilit\u00e9es et je gagnerais au moins une quinzaine de secondes \u00e0 chaque virement de bord.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Pour les prochaines r\u00e9gates, il me faudra une VHF et r\u00e9cup\u00e9rer quoi qu&rsquo;il arrive les instructions de course.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Je regrette que les temps de course officiels ne soient pas communiqu\u00e9s. Je trouve que cela rend le syst\u00e8me opaque et c&rsquo;est dommage car \u00e7a permettrait de se comparer plus facilement aux autres et de voir ses progr\u00e8s. L&rsquo;id\u00e9al serait d&rsquo;avoir le temps r\u00e9el et le temps compens\u00e9.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Au final, je suis tr\u00e8s heureux d&rsquo;avoir fait cette course. J&rsquo;ai pris beaucoup de plaisir et les conditions de vent \u00e9taient impeccables.
